ABOUT US

Big Baby Cakes was created in memory of my late uncle, Big Baby, who passed away unexpectedly in January 2025. He was not only a restaurant owner but also a mentor and father figure to me. His impact on my life was immeasurable, and his loss has been deeply felt. For those who have followed my journey, you’ll know that my first business, Lamont’s Kitchen, is named after my late father. Continuing this legacy with my uncle’s memory felt like the right thing to do. When I owned a restaurant, my uncle had a special fondness for my strawberry cheesecakes, always telling me, “You’ve got something big here.” This business is built on that legacy—on family traditions and cherished recipes. Ultimately, my goal is to show others that we all have a story—one that can either hold us back or drive us toward success. I want to inspire people to work through grief and keep pushing forward, no matter the circumstances.​
